Swan Lake

What makes the world's top universities different from average universities is not professors nor courses, but things like being able to enjoy world's top-notch ballet on campus.

Last night, we went to watch Swan Lake, the classic ballet presented by Tchaikovsky Perm Ballet, one of Russia's most distinguished artistic establishments. It's hosted by Cal Performances, an organization which brings hundreds of the world's foremost performing artists to UC Berkeley. As a poor graduate student here, I just had to pay $10 dollars for ticket, and even luckily, got the seats in the 2nd row just right at front of the stage. It's so hard to describe how wonderful the two-and-half-hour performance is in words, so I was going to show some pictures, but ...unfortunately,.... camera was not allowed there....
